Balancing, Unblocking, Healing, Enforcing and Utilizing Your Root Chakra (Muladhara Chakra)

Think of the root chakra like you would the roots off a tree.  Without the roots, the tree would become brittle and eventually lose all life and fall.  With healthy, stable roots; the tree is powerful, beautiful, able to grow and have the ability to withstand the strongest storms.  As well, the roots allow the tree to get the energy/nutrients form the earth it needs to grow up and out; just as our root chakra uses the abundance of energies within the earth to flourish.  We use the energy to maximize our root chakra, which give us the stability we need to be physically, emotionally and socially stable; and to nourish the other six chakras: the Sacral Chakra (or Swadhisthana Chakra), the Solar Plexus Chakra (or  Manipura Chakra), the Heart Chakra (or Anahata Chakra), the Throat CHkara (or Vishuddha Chkara), the Brow Chakra (or Ajna Chakra, and the Crown Chakra (or Sahasrara Chakra).

The root chakra, also known as the muladhara chakra, is the hub of our physical energies and wellbeing.  When balanced, this chakra allows us to feel secure and safe to explore this wonderful world.  When free from obstacles, the root chakra allows us to feel emotionally stable, have a positive state of mind, actively pursue our dreams and prepare us to reach our highest level of being.  By unleashing the powerful panras (energies) within our root chakra, we will begin to push the forces up to the other six chakras and down to the earth so we can remain rooted, stable and set to flourish.

The root chakra is the foundation of the chakra system.  As you can see from the picture to the right, the root chakra is at the base of our spine; allowing us to easily acquire the mighty energies of the earth to propel our panras.  It is the closest to the earth and the most vulnerable to receive the abundance of energies from the earth and transfer these powerful and needed energies through the chakra system.  We must balance our root chakra first to begin the journey of balancing our entire chakra system and reaching our infinite potential.
