  • 6 or more yeses indicates your second chakra , the Spleen (Sacral) Chakra, is either totally blocked or overused.  You need to take daily action to balance it so that you can unleash the mighty energy your Swadhisthana (2nd) Chakra possess.  
  • 4 or 5 yeses means you are able to use only small amounts of energy possessed within your Spleen Chakra.  Daily measures are needed in order for you to unblock and liberate the energy within.

Unlocking, balancing and unleashing the power of your Swadhisthana Energy - Second Chakra - Sacral Chakra

Every chakra, as an earthly element associated to it.  Water is associated with the sacral chakra (second chakra, swadhisthana chakra).  Water is flowing and able to adapt to changing environments.  Water is also purifying in that in is able withstand unwanted or harmful agents.  The sacral chakra can act in same way for our betterment if it is unblocked and free to move.  If your sacral chakra is balanced, free form energy blockage, you will be able to go with the flow, effectively manage change, appropriately express your emotions, lock into the power of your sexual energy, and have impulse control.  To unblock the great power within your second chakra, sacral chakra, do those things listed below on a daily basis. 

Water Meditation

Because water is so closely tied to the sacral chakra, swadhisthana chakra, the water mediation listed below, when done daily, will surely help you unleash the great power within your sacral chakra.

Cover your floor or a small table with things that you associate with water: shells, a bowl of water, pictures of fish, pictures of waves, coral etc. 

Once you’ve done that, either take a relaxing bath or shower, jump in a body of water, and/or drink a large glass of water. 

Water Meditation in Action

  • Sit on the floor in a comfortable position in front of the material you gathered that remind you of water.  Ideally, sit with your legs crossed and back straight.  If you have to sit up against a wall or in a chair that is fine.  
  • Next you will rest your hands, with palms up, on the back of your knees or thighs.  Next you are going to do the Varum Mudra (see pic) (a yoga pose) with your fingers.  Join the tips of your thumb and smallest (pinkie) finger.   
  • Next, fix your eyes on the object before you and take ten deep breaths.
  • Next, close your eyes and think of flowing water and the great quality water possess to cleanse and move freely no matter what.  Feel as though you are fluid just like water.  If you are having trouble, image a river flowing with grace.  
  • As you are feeling or imagining fluidity, say the following positive affirmations to yourself:

“I accept change.”
“I am able to go with the flow of change and deal with it.”
“I am able to reach my dreams.”
“I’m willing to let go of unhealthy and unwanted thoughts.”
“I am sensitive and able to express my sensitivity.”
“I am able to let go of any guild and frustration.”
“I am free to be happy and control my emotions.”
“I am able to adapt to any situation with dignity and pride.”
“I accept and embrace change.”
  • Spend anywhere from 20-30 minutes feeling fluid and repeating the positive affirmations.  After you are done, take some time to stretch and possibly do the yoga exercises mentioned below.  


Yoga poses to do before or after meditation that will strengthen and help unlock the wonderful powers of your sacral chakra.  These yoga poses can be done at any time you feel you are not in the flow of life.
